During my twenty years as host of the nationally syndicated The Parent’s Journal public radio show, I’ve chatted with many of the leaders in the world of child development. But what is harder to grasp is the power of play to shape a child’s world, particularly a world that is high-tech, fast paced, and plugged in.Īnd that’s why I wrote this book. It’s a lovely, self-perpetuating cycle that most parents intuitively understand. And why wouldn’t they? It’s fun!
